Meet the Team
Natashia MARIE
Founder & Artistic Director of ACPV
Natashia (aka: Nat, Nati) grew up learning Peruvian folklore for the most part in Peru, she joined many groups and had the luck of winning many competitions. Her strongest dance is Festejo & her favorite is Valicha! Nat mostly loved dancing because it brought her family together, specifically made her great grandpa happy. She always felt different from her family and her great grandpa had her start dance in Peru to feel connected to the culture. Due to learning Peruvian Folklore she learned so much about her family heritage and culture; now that he's gone she still feels connected to him, to family and their traditions through dance.
Dancing was her first love and her greatest passion! She has always believed that "dance is the essence that helps us identify our soul" and wants to help and share this love and passion in the same way it helped and was kindly shared with her.
During her travels and experience in dance, She has developed the ability to bring together many styles and techniques; allowing her to provide a unique experience for students, peers and audience. The goal is to cultivate personal identity, leadership skills, values and the power of self-initiative through the cultural arts. They not only do that for students/participants but also for parents and the community.
Today Natashia continues to inspire and empower individuals of all ages and backgrounds through her passion for Peruvian Folklore. As a cultural ambassador; her unwavering commitment to preserving these cultural traditions coupled with her vibrant teaching style, ensures that the legacy will thrive for generations to come.

Gayle Miñano
Dance Performer and Instructor
Gayle began dancing at the age of 5 through Tap, Jazz and Ballet until she was 15, which was the beginning of her journey before discovering Peruvian Folklore. As a young girl she wasn’t very connected to her roots and didn’t understand what it was to be Peruvian, (she has been with House of Peru for 19 years now) It wasn’t until she joined House of Peru that she discovered herself and her purpose. She has been performing for the most part of her life at balboa park and at one point created a small dance group where they performed supporting church events, colleges, and even the UCSD gala. She enjoyed being part of different Peruvian folkloric dance groups in San Diego and Los Angeles; now she hopes to bring future generations the knowledge she carries through her experiences to identify their roots and culture.
Her goal as the Director of HOP Cultural programs, as an Associate and Performer with ACPV and Instructor for both is to break dancers out of their shell; by connecting more with themselves and helping them connect to their roots and heritage the same way she did.
